Authorisation system

Visa on arrival, free up to 15 days (EUR 10 admin fee)

The entry visa is issued at Ivato international airport in Antananarivo, at regional airports with international flights or at Madagascar's missions in Europe. For stays of less than 15 days it is free, although there is a 10-euro administrative charge; it costs 35 euros for up to 30 days, 40 for up to two months and 50 for up to three, payable in dollars, euros or ariary. A return ticket is required for it to be issued. According to the Spanish Embassy these visas cannot be extended or converted into residence; the UK Government says they can be extended in the country up to a maximum of 90 days.
