Do you need a different visa for Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal?
No. Canada sets the requirements, so entering through Toronto asks for the same as entering through Vancouver or Montreal. If you're arriving overland or through a small border post, check that separately: some countries apply their own rules to specific crossings.
What does change is where you file the application when a visa is needed, and that depends on the country you live in rather than the city you're travelling to.
What draws travelers to Canada
Canada is vast and traveled in bands, not coast to coast in one trip. The west has the Rockies — Banff, Lake Louise, the Icefields Parkway, Jasper — with Vancouver as the gateway. The east holds the cities: Toronto and its CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Montreal, and the walled old town of Quebec City, a World Heritage site and the only one of its kind in North America. The Maritime provinces — Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island — are coastline, lighthouses and fishing villages. The polar north (Yukon, Northwest Territories) is a separate nature destination. Canada has 22 UNESCO World Heritage sites, most of them natural. A week covers the Rockies or the Toronto-Montreal-Quebec corridor, not both. Summer (June-September) is peak season; autumn turns the east red and winter is long and very cold except on the Pacific coast.
