Republic of the Congo rules for every passport
Vaccinations, customs limits and penalties are the same for every traveller. Grounds for refusal depend on how you enter.

- Polio: the UK Government says a certificate is required because of the risk of transmission.

- The currency is the CFA franc, pegged to the euro (1 euro = 655.957 francs). Euros and dollars are usually accepted, and cards work in most hotels and airlines.

Do you need a different visa for Brazzaville, Pointe-Noire, or Dolisie?
No. Republic of the Congo sets the requirements, so entering through Brazzaville asks for the same as entering through Pointe-Noire or Dolisie. If you're arriving overland or through a small border post, check that separately: some countries apply their own rules to specific crossings.
What does change is where you file the application when a visa is needed, and that depends on the country you live in rather than the city you're travelling to.
What draws travellers to Republic of the Congo
The Republic of the Congo has two sites on the World Heritage List. The Sangha Trinational (2012), shared with Cameroon and the Central African Republic, joins three adjoining national parks covering over 750,000 hectares of almost untouched forest, with forest elephants, western lowland gorillas and chimpanzees. The Forest Massif of Odzala-Kokoua (2023) shows forest recolonising savannah, is one of Central Africa's main refuges for forest elephants and has the richest primate diversity in the region. Spain's Foreign Ministry advises extra care in Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire at night and telling the Embassy in Kinshasa about the trip.
