Verified practical details
You don't need a visa to enter Guinea, but here are some practical details worth knowing before you travel:
Authorisation system
Border Police electronic visa (e-visa)
The visa is requested online on the platform of the Central Directorate of the Air and Border Police: after approval an entry letter arrives by email, and the visa is collected on arrival at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport in Conakry, where photo and fingerprints are taken. The fee is not refunded if the application is refused.
Apply on the official site →Required documents
- Passport valid for more than six months on arrival.
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate, which the online application asks you to upload.
- Sufficient funds for the stay (cash, travellers' cheques or card).
- Always carry the passport with the visa: without it, a routine check can end in detention.
Transit rules
The transit visa covers up to three days and is requested on the same platform as the tourist visa, with an onward ticket and a yellow fever certificate.
