Authorisation system
Tourist visa on arrival
Palau's Division of Immigration issues the tourist or business visa on arrival, within minutes, on presentation of the passport, an onward ticket and sufficient funds. It lasts 30 days and can be extended twice by another 30, applying at least seven days before it expires (50 dollars per extension). Nationals of Bangladesh and Myanmar have to apply before travelling, at a Palauan mission or the Ministry of State. Citizens of the United States, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands need no visa, and citizens of Schengen States enter visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period under the agreement with the EU signed on 7 December 2015.
