Moroccans need a visa for Israel, and this corridor's distinctive point is recent: until December 2020 Morocco and Israel had no relations and there was no way to apply for the visa in the country. After the 2020 normalisation agreement (part of a trilateral deal with the United States), Israel opened a Liaison Office in Rabat, inaugurated in 2021, which has a Consular Department and processes entry visas for tourism or visits. The application is in person and by appointment: you must attend the office in person, and the grant is at the consular officer's discretion. Usual requirements include two recent 5x5 cm photos on a white background, the passport, proof of accommodation and funds, and a return ticket. Allow extra time and confirm the state of the service before travelling, as the office's activity has varied with the regional situation.
