The alternative route usually matters more: a Moroccan is exempt from that visa when travelling with a valid visa or residence permit from Canada, the United States, Australia, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Singapore or a European Union country, provided the visa is multiple-entry and the passport has at least six months' validity. In exchange there is a cap the ordinary application does not have: the stay is limited to 30 days, and you must show USD 500 in funds. Panama keeps its own embassy in Rabat, though the directory of Panama's Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists it as an embassy without attributing a consular section to it, unlike other posts that carry one in their name.
