You can get your visa on arrival in Cambodia, but it's worth preparing the paperwork ahead of time:
Authorisation system
Cambodia e-Visa (type T tourist visa) and e-Arrival
Entering Cambodia always requires a visa. There are three routes: the electronic visa at evisa.gov.kh, the visa on arrival (at every border post, with a passport-size photo and payment in dollars) or a visa from a Cambodian embassy. Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the electronic visa to avoid surprises at the border, but it is only accepted at Techo (Phnom Penh), Siem Reap-Angkor and Sihanoukville airports and at the Bavet and Tropaeng Kreal land crossings. Every traveller, whatever visa they hold, must also complete the free e-Arrival form at arrival.gov.kh within 7 days before arriving.

Fee
30 USD
Official fee for the electronic type T (tourist) visa: single entry, three months' validity and a one-month stay. The visa on arrival is also paid in dollars, but we have not found its amount in an official source. Be wary of websites that charge more: the genuine address ends in .gov.kh.
Processing time
3 business days for the electronic tourist visa, according to the official evisa.gov.kh portal.
Required documents
- Passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, undamaged and complete: entry is normally refused if pages are missing or the passport is damaged.
- Visa, electronic, on arrival or from an embassy. The visa on arrival requires a passport-size photo and payment in US dollars cash.
- The e-Arrival form, compulsory for every traveller, best submitted online within 7 days before arrival.
- To get a visa on arrival at the airports, some airlines require a ticket out of Cambodia before boarding. Without a plane ticket, a bus or train ticket will do.
- Keep the departure card handed out on entry. If it is lost, contact immigration before leaving the country.
Health insurance
Not mandatory for this destination.

The tourist visa allows a 30-day stay from entry and can be extended once at the immigration office in Phnom Penh. To extend it, the passport must still have six months' validity from the start of the extension, and the traveller must be registered in the FPCS system for foreigners present in Cambodia: in hotels and rentals the establishment does it; anyone staying with friends or in their own home must register through the app. Without that registration the extension may be refused.
