Verified practical details

You don't need a visa to enter Jamaica, but here are some practical details worth knowing before you travel:

Authorisation system

Visa exemption up to 90 days and digital entry form (C5)

Immigration may grant a shorter stay than the maximum on arrival, often one month, and the departure date is stamped in the passport. All passengers must complete the digital immigration and customs entry form (C5), before travel, on the plane or on arrival before passport control; do it in advance in case the airport connection fails.

Required documents

  • Passport valid for the whole stay.
  • Return ticket to your home country or country of residence, or an onward ticket to another country: entry can be refused without one.
  • Digital immigration and customs entry form (C5).
  • Accommodation address and a contact phone number.

Transit rules

To extend the stay, apply to the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) before the granted period ends, paying the fees in Jamaican dollars. Arrival and departure airport taxes are usually included in the ticket.
