Entry requirements

What you need to enter Saudi Arabia with a Filipino passport

Filipino citizens need an electronic visa for Saudi Arabia, applied for online before the trip.

e-Visa fee
535 SAR
Minimum passport validity
6 months from entry

How this visa is processed

VFS Tasheel (Makati, Cebu and Davao) or the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Manila; for work, DMW-accredited agencies

The Philippines is not among the nationalities that can apply for the Saudi tourist e-Visa online, so a Philippine passport does not have access to that fast track. The visit visa (tourism or family) is processed through VFS Tasheel, the operator of Saudi visa services in the Philippines, with centres in Makati, Cebu and Davao, or directly at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Manila; the passport needs at least six months' validity. Most of this corridor's traffic is workers: anyone going to work in Saudi Arabia must go through the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW): a job offer through a licensed agency, a pre-departure orientation seminar, an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), a medical examination and OWWA registration: before the work visa is stamped. Umrah and Hajj pilgrims book slots and services through the Nusuk platform.

Transit rules

Saudi Arabia has a transit visa for layovers of up to 96 hours, costing SAR 300 and valid for 96 hours from issue; you can pick flights with a connection up to that maximum. It is single-entry (stopping over again means another visa), though there is no limit on how many you may obtain in a year. Requirements: being over 18 unless accompanied by an adult, and a recognised passport, free of restrictions or conditions, valid for at least six months. It is open to the nationalities listed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal, and some cases call for additional verification documents.
