Eswatini rules for every passport
Vaccinations, customs limits and penalties are the same for every traveller. Grounds for refusal depend on how you enter.
Vaccinations
- Yellow fever: the certificate is only required from travellers arriving from a country with risk of transmission, even after just a connection at its airport.
Customs limits
- Cash
- Spain's Foreign Ministry knows of no currency restrictions. The lilangeni and the South African rand (notes, not coins) are used interchangeably; the Mozambican metical is not accepted.
- Alcohol
- 2 litres of wine and 1 litre of spirits or other alcoholic drinks, for travellers arriving from outside the Southern African Customs Union (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa).
- Tobacco
- 200 cigarettes and 20 cigars, plus 250 grams of cigarette or pipe tobacco, under the same conditions. Total duty-free goods may not exceed 5,000 emalangeni per person.
Overstay penalties
Visa-free stays are 30 days and the Ministry of Home Affairs can extend them by another 30; more than 60 days requires a temporary residence permit. The UK Government advises checking that the entry stamp shows the correct date, because otherwise the authorities may bar re-entry for up to a year.

Do you need a different visa for Mbabane, Manzini, or Lobamba?
No. Eswatini sets the requirements, so entering through Mbabane asks for the same as entering through Manzini or Lobamba. If you're arriving overland or through a small border post, check that separately: some countries apply their own rules to specific crossings.
What does change is where you file the application when a visa is needed, and that depends on the country you live in rather than the city you're travelling to.
