Verified practical details
The visa is applied for before your trip, and the procedure is Electronic visa (e-Visa) with entry authorisation. Here are the verified details:
Authorisation system
Electronic visa (e-Visa) with entry authorisation
There are two routes. The one Spain's Foreign Ministry recommends is applying before travel at the Gabonese Embassy in your country of residence. The other is the e-Visa: after the online application, an entry authorisation (autorisation d'entrée) arrives by email, and with it the visa is issued on landing at Libreville airport against a cash payment. That authorisation is not the receipt you get when submitting the application, and without it entry is not guaranteed. The Ministry warns that the e-Visa sometimes causes problems and delays.

Fee
€70
This is the cash fee paid in Libreville when collecting a visa obtained through the e-Visa: 70 euros or 45,000 CFA francs, plus a 15-euro processing fee.
Required documents
- Passport valid for at least six months.
- A visa from the Gabonese Embassy or a printed e-Visa entry authorisation.
- An invitation letter, hotel booking or proof of accommodation for the whole stay.

Transit rules
