Verified practical details
The procedure to complete before you travel is Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) and ED form. Here's what we've verified about the process:
Authorisation system
Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) and ED form
All visitors need an approved Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travelling, requested on the official border management portal or its app. The eTA authorises travel to the country, but it is not a visa and does not guarantee entry. Citizens and residents of the country and citizens of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) do not need one; they only complete the free electronic immigration and customs (ED) form. Travellers who need a visa still need it. Anyone arriving by sea must notify the port authority 24 hours ahead. Extensions of stay are requested and paid for at the Immigration Department.
Apply on the official site →Visa, e-Visa, or electronic authorisation? What's the difference →
Fee
17 USD
The single-entry eTA costs 17 US dollars per traveller, plus payment fees; faster service carries a surcharge.
Required documents
- Passport valid for at least six months from entry.
- Return ticket.
- An eTA approved before travel, except for OECS citizens.
- Electronic immigration and customs (ED) form.
Transit rules
Arrival and departure taxes are usually included in the ticket, except on some regional flights. Traffic drives on the left. The hurricane season runs from June to November.
