Entry requirements

Honduras visa requirements for Ivorian citizens

Ivorian citizens need a visa for Honduras and must apply for it before the trip at a consulate or embassy.

Minimum passport validity
6 months from arrival

Why is this passport validity required? →

Verified practical details

You'll need to apply for a visa at a consulate or embassy before travelling. Here are the practical details we've verified:

Fee

There is no prior authorisation fee: visa-exempt nationalities enter directly with their passport. For those who do need a visa, the Honduran Consulate in Madrid publishes this consular fee: single visa (60 days) US$30; multiple visa (360 days) US$60, granted only to applicants who have already held a single visa. An application for a "consulted visa" (with prior authorisation from the National Migration Institute) costs US$100 under article 127 of the Regulation of the Migration and Aliens Law, which also sets US$3 for non-Central American foreigners entering by land.

Required documents

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
  • Onward or return ticket.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay.
  • Regional Traveller's Sworn Declaration, electronic and mandatory, completed online at aduanas.gob.hn (it generates a QR code validated on entry and exit). It is the same regional form used by Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize and the Dominican Republic.
  • Check that the immigration officer stamps your passport on entry (and on exit at a land border): a missing entry or exit stamp leads to fines and can result in entry or exit being refused. If the stamp is missing, go back to the immigration desk or to the National Migration Institute as soon as possible.

Health insurance

Not mandatory for this destination.

Transit rules

Stay of up to 90 days, extendable by a further 30 days on request at the National Migration Institute (INM), shared with the rest of the CA-4 bloc (Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua): the count doesn't reset when crossing from Honduras into any of those three countries. Important: this is only an internal mobility regime: each CA-4 country sets its own entry visa policy for third countries. Nicaragua unilaterally tightened its own in February 2026; this doesn't change anything about entering Honduras itself, but it can affect anyone planning to cross from Honduras into Nicaragua within the same trip.

Sources: Regulation of the Migration and Aliens Law, text published by the Superior Court of Accounts at tsc.gob.hn/web/leyes (90-day stay and single 30-day extension, arts. 116 and 117; consulted visa and land entry fees, art. 127; deportation and overstay fine, arts. 121 and 136); consuladohondurasmadrid.es/visa-consular (single and multiple visa fees); aduanas.gob.hn (Honduras Customs Administration: Regional Traveller's Sworn Declaration, US$10,000 threshold); sica.int/ocam (CA-4 agreement text); Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advice for Honduras at exteriores.gob.es (6-month passport validity, Regional Traveller's Declaration, extension at the INM, overstay fine and payment before leaving, entry and exit stamps, currency declaration, yellow fever); gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/honduras/entry-requirements (passport validity, entry stamp, shared CA-4 count) (checked 29 September 2026).
