You can get your visa on arrival in Tuvalu, but it's worth preparing the paperwork ahead of time:

Visitor permit on arrival
Tuvalu grants entry on arrival, on presentation of a passport, an onward ticket and sufficient funds. Tourist stays are one month, and staying longer, or working, studying or doing business, needs an extension from the Department of Immigration in Funafuti, up to a maximum of three months. Citizens of Schengen States are also covered by the EU visa waiver agreement, in force since 1 February 2019, which allows up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Required documents
- Passport valid for at least six months from arrival.
- A ticket out of the country and proof of sufficient funds.
- Cash for the whole stay: there are no cash machines and cards are not accepted.
Transit rules
Flights to Tuvalu leave from Fiji and are few, and Pacific airlines often cancel or delay flights, so itineraries need some slack. Drug trafficking carries heavy penalties, and homosexuality is severely prosecuted. Two official currencies are used, the Tuvaluan dollar and the Australian dollar.
