Authorisation system
eVisa (replaced the Tourist Card from 30 June 2025)
Electronic tourist visa applied for at evisacuba.cu by choosing the Cuban consulate of the country the application is made from. Since 30 June 2025 it is mandatory for every traveller entering Cuba as a tourist, and it replaces the paper Tourist Card. In addition to the eVisa, every traveller must complete the D'Viajeros form (dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu) before arrival, with personal, immigration, health and customs data; completing it produces a PDF with a QR code that is shown on arrival.
Apply on the official site →Visa, e-Visa, or electronic authorisation? What's the difference →
Processing time
Each consulate sets its own. The Cuban consulate in Algeria says the visa is approved within 3 working days of the payment being confirmed, and the one in the United States approves it once the postal money order arrives (or on the spot if it is taken to the consulate). The D'Viajeros form can be completed up to seven days before the trip.
