Entry requirements

What you need to enter Albania with a Papua New Guinean passport

Papua New Guinean citizens need an electronic visa for Albania, applied for online before the trip.

Minimum passport validity
3 months after departure

Verified practical details

The visa is applied for before your trip, and the procedure is Visa exemption up to 90 days in 180 (no advance formality). Here are the verified details:

Required documents

  • Passport valid for at least three months after leaving Albania.
  • Do not travel on a passport or ID card reported lost or stolen even if it later turned up: Albania rejects it at the border and sends the traveller back on the first available flight, without leaving the terminal in the meantime.
  • A yellow fever vaccination certificate only if arriving from a country with risk of transmission (see vaccines).

Transit rules

To stay longer than 90 days in 180, apply for a long-stay visa before travelling or for a residence permit from within Albania. Causing a wildfire is a criminal offence, and anyone involved in a traffic accident, however minor, must stay at the scene until the police arrive.
