Working holiday

Working holiday on a Spain passport

Of the 13 destinations we track, a Spain passport gives access to 6 programmes: Argentina, Australia, Canada, South Korea, Japan and New Zealand. Below are the conditions of each one for your passport. In some programmes places run out as soon as applications open, so check the opening date on the official page.

Argentina

Working Holiday visa

  • Places a year 500
  • Stay 12 months
  • Health insurance required

You must live in Spain and hold a university or higher education degree, or have completed at least two years of university studies. You can apply at any Argentine consulate in Spain. The sources disagree on age, because the agreement published in Spain's Official Gazette in 2023 sets 18 to 35 while the Argentine Foreign Ministry page says 18 to 30, so check it with the consulate.

Canada

  • Age 18 to 35
  • Stay 12 months
  • Fee 284.75 CAD
  • Funds 2,500 CAD
  • Health insurance required

You must be resident in Spain when you apply.
