How this visa is processed
Paraguayan consulate, with special authorisation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (about four weeks)
Holders of a passport from Egypt need a visa for Paraguay, plus special authorisation from Paraguay's Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Egypt is on the list of nationalities that need it. The non-resident visa application starts with the ministry's online form and is reviewed by a Paraguayan consulate, which may call the applicant for an interview. For most nationalities the visa is issued in 48 hours, but with the special authorisation the process can take about a month, so it is best to apply well in advance. If a Paraguayan company invites the traveller for business or technical work, it must first sign up in the online register of inviters.
