Turkey visa requirements for Equatorial Guinean citizens

Authorization system

e-Visa (evisa.gov.tr)

Electronic visa system, single or multiple entry depending on type, valid for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Only applies to nationalities eligible for the e-Visa (not every passport we track needs one).

Fee

The fee varies by nationality (roughly USD 20-80 per recent non-official sources). The only official fee table found (mfa.gov.tr, "Country fees for e-Visa" PDF) is dated 10/11/2014 — over a decade out of date, so it isn't used as a source for this figure. Left null until a current official fee table is found.

Processing time

The online application is usually resolved within minutes, up to a stated maximum of 72 hours.

Required documents

• A travel document valid for at least 60 days beyond the duration of stay granted by your visa, e-Visa, visa exemption or residence permit
• In practice, to enter on a 90-day permitted stay your passport must be valid for 150 days at the moment of entry (90 + 60)
• A valid visa or e-Visa, if your nationality requires one

Vaccinations

• No mandatory vaccines for entry: no international certificate of vaccination (yellow fever included) is required under the International Health Regulations.

Health insurance

Customs limits

Cash

Declare if carrying TRY 185,000 or €10,000 (or the equivalent) or more in cash when leaving Turkey; customs officers may ask for an explanation of the source even below that threshold.

Alcohol

1 litre of drinks over 22% alcohol, or 2 litres of drinks up to 22%, duty-free (age 18+).

Tobacco

600 cigarettes, or 50 cigars, or 250g of rolling/pipe tobacco, duty-free (age 18+).

Overstay penalties

Türkiye grades its entry ban by how far you overstayed. Up to 3 months over, someone who comes to a border gate of their own accord to leave before the authorities detect their situation may settle it by paying an administrative fine. Beyond that the ban escalates: 3 to 6 months over, a 1-month ban; 6 months to 1 year, 3 months; 1 to 2 years, 1 year; and 2 to 3 years, a 2-year ban. Entry bans may not exceed five years, unless there is a serious threat to public order or public security, in which case the period may be extended by a maximum of ten further years.

Common reasons for denial

• Holding a passport that does not cover the 60 days of validity required beyond your permitted duration of stay: that alone is a ground for refusal at the border, even where the visa or e-Visa is in order.
• Being subject to a live entry ban for having previously overstayed your legal stay.
