Argentina visa requirements for Moroccan citizens

Moroccan citizens need a visa for Argentina and must apply for it before the trip at a consulate or embassy.

Consular fee
Free
Minimum passport validity
No minimum: it just has to be valid

How this visa is processed

Consular Section of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Morocco (Rabat), by appointment requested by email

A Moroccan needs a tourist visa for Argentina, and in their case it is free: the visa costs USD 150, but Decree 939/2003 exempts Moroccan nationals. The application is personal and starts by email to secon_emarr@cancilleria.gob.ar, sending all documents scanned into a single legible PDF; the Consular Section checks them, asks for anything missing and sets a date for a mandatory interview, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00. The embassy advises starting 40 to 50 days before travel and not buying the ticket until the visa is granted. Required documents include a passport valid for six months, proof of funds for the last six months, a legalised employment certificate, a return flight booking, and a hotel booking or an invitation letter certified by a notary. Once granted, the visa is collected the same day or up to four days after the interview.

Verified practical details

You'll need to apply for a visa at a consulate or embassy before travelling. Here are the practical details we've verified:

Authorisation system

AVE: Electronic Travel Authorisation

The AVE is the electronic route that Argentina's National Migration Directorate offers to nationals of more than seventy countries who would otherwise need a tourist visa. Nationality alone is not enough: you must also hold a valid US visa in category B2, J, B1, O, P (P1, P2 or P3), E or H-1B, or show that you entered the United States within the previous two years. Once issued it is valid for three consecutive months, allows multiple entries and exits, and can be extended for a further equal period.
