Verified practical details
You don't need a visa to enter Suriname, but here are some practical details worth knowing before you travel:
Authorisation system
Online Entry Fee or e-Visa, plus the ICF form
Since 1 July 2022, anyone travelling to Suriname for tourism who does not need a visa must pay an entry fee to be admitted. It is handled on the VFS Global portal, the Surinamese Government's official partner, by uploading a copy of your passport. Since 1 May 2023, nationals of 21 countries (including Angola, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Cuba, Egypt, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tunisia, Venezuela and Zambia) need an e-Visa instead, which is closely examined and may take longer than 72 hours. CARICOM passports are exempt from the entry fee. All travellers also complete the online immigration and customs form (ICF) up to three days before arrival and departure. Suriname issues no visas to Haitian citizens and allows no direct flights from Haiti.
Apply on the official site →Required documents
- Passport valid for at least six months from arrival.
- Immigration and customs form (ICF), completed online up to three days before arrival and before departure.
Transit rules
A tourist stay cannot exceed 90 days from entry, and anyone who leaves Suriname within that period must pay the fee again on return. Transit passengers who do not leave the airport need no visa and pay no fee; those who leave the airport need a transit visa. Working requires a work permit, which the employer applies for at the Ministry of Labour. Spain's Foreign Ministry advises travelling to the interior through specialist agencies.

They don't depend on your passport, so they are on the Suriname page:
